Sedona Lace Haul - 02/16/2013

Ever since IMATS LA, I have seen several bloggers, including Angie of Goldiestarling (whose review sold me on making this brush purchase) review Midnight Lace brush sets from Sedona Lace.  Over Valentines Day week, Sedona Lace had a sale on their palettes so I figured this was a good time to order as I needed some concealer and blushes.  I ordered the 10 Color Camouflage concealer Palette, the 15 Ultra Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette, the 10 Blush Palette, the Midnight Lace Synthetic Face Brush set and the 7 piece Midnight Lace Synthetic Eye Brush set.

I didn't do any swatches and the pictures of the individual brushes didn't come out very well but I do plan on doing a video review for my YouTube channel later today.  Overall first impression of all 3 palettes and the brushes is complete & utter satisfaction.  I've done a few finger swatches of the shadows and blushes and I really like them a lot.  I haven't used the brushes yet but they are super duper soft and I am really looking forward to using them today!

First up, the brushes!  I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to trying these.  I don't have any real good face brushes and my eye brushes are hit & miss.  This is a great collection.

These are the eye brushes and there are 7 of them in the set.  #618 - Angled Flat; #217 - Round Dome; # 847 - Small Round Flat; #224 - Small Tapered; #872 - Small Flat Top (I'm looking forward to using this one for concealer!); #773 - Small Angle; #312 - Small Round.  The brochure says the #312 is your best friend when it comes to buffing out makeup.  The rounded edges erase all streaks & lines helping you achieve professional results.  All of the Sedona Lace Midnight Lace brushes are synthetic, making them great for both cream and powder products.

Next up - The Face Brushes!  What you get in the face brush collection are a super soft Kabuki brush, Round Top Powder Brush, Flat Top Powder Brush, and an Angle Top Powder Brush.  Of these, I think the one I'm most excited to try is the flat top brush for stippling on my foundation and concealers.

And now the palettes!

First up is the Ultra Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette.  There are 15 shimmer shadows in this palette and they are all amazingly shimmery and pigmented.

Next is the blush palette.  This palette gives you a wide variety of color choices from just a subtle wash of color to bright bold colors that would be great for contouring.

... and last but not least is the concealer palette.  There are 10 concealers in this palette and you can mix them to create the perfect shade for you!  I think that's the best thing about this palette is you can mix them to find the perfect shade for your skin tone.  Would be great for the professional also who needs to custom mix for a variety of skin tones of their clients.

They also threw in this freebie for my order too.  Four cute eye shadows to try.

  1. The brushes look amazing. The concealer palette looks exactly like the Coastal Scents one, no difference. Would like to know how the brushes hold up after several uses and washes.
